DeeJay Capone is a veteran DJ, turntablist, and producer whose high-energy performances and deep musical roots have made him one of the most respected names in Florida’s music scene.
Born in Springfield, Massachusetts and raised in South Florida, Capone discovered his passion for DJing at just 15 years old after being inspired by the classic film Beat Street. With two tape decks and his mother’s turntable, he began spinning and scratching records from legends like Earth, Wind & Fire—unknowingly laying the foundation for a lifelong career behind the decks.
Capone sharpened his skills at Galaxy Skateway, where he studied the DJ booth while others breakdanced on the floor. That curiosity quickly turned into mastery. In 1989, he relocated to Jacksonville, Florida, where he began building a decades-long legacy as a touring DJ, club favorite, music entrepreneur, and cultural connector.
He is the founder of Streetworx Music and creator of the Streetworx DJs collective, platforms dedicated to preserving authentic DJ culture while developing the next generation of talent.
Throughout his career, Capone has toured with legendary artists including The Notorious B.I.G., Luke, Goodie Mob, 95 South, 69 Boyz, Machine Gun Kelly, Yelawolf, and Hopsin. He has also shared the stage with major artists such as Nelly, Flo Rida, Ying Yang Twins, Outkast, Rob Base, Big Pun, Lloyd, Mya, T-Pain, Juicy J, and 50 Cent.
Capone’s versatility has also made waves in the EDM world, where he has opened for international superstars Calvin Harris, Steve Aoki, and Porter Robinson. As a Red Bull Southeast Region DJ, he performed on the Vans Warped Tour in 2010 and 2011 in partnership with Kia Motors and has headlined major events including DayGlow and numerous large-scale festivals.
Beyond the stage, Capone reaches thousands of listeners every weekend on the airwaves of iHeartRadio’s 97.9 Kiss FMand 93.3 The Beat. Known as a heavyweight in the nightlife scene, he continues to anchor major club events and festival stages and corporate events for Jacksonville Jaguars, Costco, T-Mobile throughout Jacksonville and beyond.
